Granite is a type of deep eruptive rock. It was created by cooling and solidifying magnified magma in the interior of the earth. It is one of the hardest materials and is therefore often used in construction. The word comes from the Latin word “Granum” meaning grain. Due to the strong hardness and strength of its structure, granite is resistant to external influences, it is resistant to low temperatures and freezing as well as the influence of acid rain and is therefore suitable for outdoor use. Within the interior decoration granite is used for staircases, workbenches, wall coverings.
Marble is a metamorphic rock, granular – crystalline limestone with primers. Pure marble is a snowy white color, metal oxide primers give it a yellow, brown or reddish color, graphite, charcoal or black, and chlorite greenish color. Marble can be easily cut, processed and polished, and because of its soft structure it is suitable for sculpture. Marble is an exceptionally soft and warm material designed for interior decoration of stairs, corridors and wall coverings.
